But the real story was Cody Parmley's relentless drive from 17th on the grid — he picked off cars with surgical precision over the distance, finishing second and claiming hard charger honors with a 15-position gain that kept the field honest right to the checkered flag. Shaff's heat race win set the tone early, and he never surrendered the advantage when it mattered most.
