The qualifier dominated from the front at Volusia Speedway Park, leading the feature and never surrendering the top spot on the dirt oval. Smith's car had the pace all night, and when it mattered most, he had nothing left to prove. The real story belonged to Patrick Spangler, who turned a 14th-place starting position into a third-place finish with pure aggression.
