**Mike Fritz Survives Late-Race Drama to Win at Kokomo** Daniel J Adam looked like he had this one locked down — he got the pole, won his heat, led 28 laps, and was sitting pretty for most of the feature. Then Mike Fritz showed up with a different plan. Fritz methodically worked through the field and made his decisive move when it counted, taking the lead late and holding off Blake M Andrews down to the wire. It was a clinic in patience; Fritz didn't need to lead the most laps, he just needed to lead the last one. Scott Munksgard turned in the performance of the day, storming from 22nd on the grid to finish tenth — a masterclass in smooth, relentless progression through traffic that kept him climbing all afternoon.
