ESRN REPORTMay 2, 2026

**Gregory Lamey Dominates Volusia in Wire-to-Wire Statement** Gregory Lamey put on a masterclass at Volusia, converting pole position into a dominant feature win that left no doubt about his pace. The Georgia driver controlled the race from start to finish, leading 12 laps and never letting the field within striking distance. This is the kind of performance that sets the tone for a championship run. The real story behind him was the resurrection of Justin Sherman3. Starting deep in the field at P20, Sherman3 threaded the needle through traffic with surgical precision, charging 14 positions to grab P6. On a one-groove dirt oval where passing is notoriously difficult, that kind of climb speaks to racecraft and raw speed. He was genuinely the hard charger tonight. Kolby Araki played his strategy perfectly, securing the second consolation win before marching through the feature field to ultimately finish second. Brandon Voyles and Brent Hagen rounded out the podium positions, keeping things tight enough that the fight for supremacy in this series is far from settled. Volusia proved to be a powder keg for intensity. Lamey just made sure he lit the fuse first.
