**Jason Stehney Holds Off Late Charge to Win at Charlotte** Jason Stehney controlled The Dirt Track at Charlotte from start to finish, leading 23 laps and executing a masterclass in front-running through traffic. But the real story was the man chasing him down in the closing laps. Patrick Spangler launched from 16th on the grid and absolutely methodically worked his way forward, gaining 14 positions to finish second. He was hunting Stehney hard in the final circuits, but Stehney had too much in the tank and too much track position to surrender. A textbook performance from the pole setter — Jeromy Weigle — turned sour when he needed it most, finishing outside the top five after dominating his consolation race. Stehney never gave Spangler a clean shot at the lead. That's how you win on dirt.
