**Zach Jaynes dominates Volusia opener for convincing Round 1 victory** Zach Jaynes controlled the feature from start to finish at Volusia, leading 21 of 30 laps to pocket the opening round win. He qualified through his heat and never looked back on the dirt, holding off Bruce Clingan's late charge to take the checkered. The real story of the night was Theodore York's relentless climb from the back. Starting 25th, York methodically worked his way forward through traffic and chaos, ultimately gaining 16 positions to crack the top ten. His hard-charge effort showcased the kind of grit that defines sprint car racing on a slick oval. Pole-sitter Corey Janz set the tone in qualifying with a 13.222-second lap, but couldn't convert that advantage into a feature result. The heat races saw five different winners spread across the card, keeping the field balanced heading into the main event. Brent Hagen secured one of those heat victories and carried that momentum into a podium finish in the feature.
