ESRN REPORTMay 2, 2026

**Justin Sherman3 Takes Feature as Jason Stehney Storms Through Kokomo** Justin Sherman3 closed out the night with a clean run to victory at Kokomo, but the real story belonged to Jason Stehney, who qualified on pole and then got caught up in the opening lap shuffle. Starting 16th in the feature after a rough heat, Stehney picked off cars relentlessly across the 30 laps, working his way to the podium with a stunning charge that defined an aggressive night of racing. Eric Witner led for 14 laps and had every chance to pull it off, but Sherman3 had the better car when it counted. Witner's pace through the middle third kept him in contention, yet Sherman3 methodically closed the gap and controlled the final stretch without drama. Bruce Clingan rounded out the top five, holding position in the tighter pack that formed late in the race. The heat races saw Zachary Miller6, Eric Witner, and David Kalb take their respective wins. Theodore York capitalized in the consolation to grab one more shot at the feature. But when the checkered dropped on the main event, it was Sherman3's night and Stehney's validation that a pole position means nothing if you can't get through turn one clean. That 13-position gain stamped him as the hard
